Monoprice Luxe Series CL3 Active High Speed HDMI Cable

    Superior Performance, Reliability, and Flexibility

The Luxe Series CL3 Active High Speed HDMI® Cable is designed to meet or exceed the highest standards of performance and safety for HDMI cables. It uses an active chipset to individually regenerate and balance the three video signal elements, giving it the ability to transmit signals at speeds up to 18Gbps*. This enables it to support all of the features specified in the latest HDMI specification, including 4K video at 60Hz* and 3D video. The CL3 fire safety rating means that the cable jacket has been treated with a fire-retardant, which ensures that it meets fire safety standards for use in and through the walls of residential class buildings. Backed by Monoprice's Lifetime Warranty, the Luxe Series CL3 High Speed HDMI Cable is the ultimate HDMI cable for home theater installations.

    Advantages

    • CL3 Rated: The cable jacket has been treated with a flame retardant and has been tested to the CL3 standard, making it safe for use in and through the walls of residential class buildings.
    • Active Chipset: The active chipset individually regenerates and balances the three video signal elements, giving the cable the ability to transmit High Speed HDMI signals over longer distances, using thinner gauge conductors than passive HDMI cables.
    • Premium Braided Jacket: The plastic cable jacket has been encased within braided nylon, which resists nicks and cuts without reducing cable flexibility. Additionally, the braided jacket gives a premium appearance over that of ordinary plastic jackets.
    • Zinc Alloy Connectors: The zinc alloy connectors not only improve durability, they help provide protection from electromagnetic and radio frequency interference, which helps ensure the best performance possible.

    Applications

Luxe Series CL3 Active High Speed HDMI® Cables are perfect for a variety of uses, from home theater installations to video surveillance to commercial video displays. The ultra-durable braided nylon jacket covering and the zinc alloy connector heads make it capable of withstanding heavy use without failure.

    FAQ'S

    • Q:
What is different between HDMI2.0 and HDMI 1.4?

      A:

HDMI 1.4 supports 4K video frame rates up to 30p, while HDMI 2.0 supports 4K video frame rates up to 60p. The HDMI 2.0 standard also allows you to display 4K videos encoded using the Main 10 profile (10 bits of color depth with 4:2:0 chroma sampling) and HDR.

XTx43, XDx33, and 4Kx42 players support the HDMI 2.0 standard and can play 4Kp60 video; however, to play 60p videos, your 4K display must also support the HDMI 2.0 standard.

Note that HDMI 2.0 is backwards compatible with HDMI 1.4, so you should encounter no issues using HDMI-2.0-compatible players with an HDMI 1.4 display.

    • Q:
How to get an actual 4K resolution by connecting a screen to a PC?

      A:

Here’s what you need to know before you buying a 4K capable cable, including the outputs and hardware required. Our best advice is to avoid older monitors – or any monitors that’s limited to 30Hz, and make sure it’s not a 4K screen that gets its high resolution by using two physical 1080p panels within one monitor. These were the first UHD screens for PCs, and brought with them a ton of issues and annoyances.then make sure you’re getting a screen that has a specification of at least 60Hz refresh rate, and has a DisplayPort and / or HDMI 2.0 input.finally, make sure your graphics card is up to the job. Unfortunately, there are still applications which are not 4K-aware, so there will inevitably be some which appear too small. You may have to temporarily lower your screen’s resolution through Windows to make them usable.
