Canada Toner Product Warranty

Canada Toner stands behind the products we sell and aims to provide fair, practical support when a product has a genuine defect or performance problem.

Eligible products may be covered by warranty for up to 180 days / 6 months from the original shipment date, subject to the product type, condition, nature of the problem, and the applicable warranty terms described below.

A warranty request must be reviewed and approved before a refund, replacement, credit, or other remedy is issued.

Before Requesting Warranty Service

Many printer-cartridge issues can have causes unrelated to a defective cartridge, including:

  • Incorrect cartridge or printer compatibility
  • Printer firmware updates
  • Installation problems
  • Protective seals or shipping materials not removed
  • Printer settings
  • Electrical or printer hardware problems
  • Cartridge damage after delivery
  • Use outside normal operating conditions

To help us review a warranty request, Canada Toner may ask for information such as:

  • Order number
  • Printer make and exact model
  • Cartridge or product number
  • Description of the problem
  • Printer error message
  • Photos of the cartridge or packaging
  • Screenshots or photos showing the printer error
  • Other information reasonably necessary to identify the issue

1. Compatible and Remanufactured Products

Eligible compatible and remanufactured cartridges sold by Canada Toner are covered against qualifying defects for up to 180 days / 6 months from the original shipment date.

Warranty coverage applies to defects arising under normal use.

A warranty claim may be refused where the product shows evidence of circumstances such as:

  • Physical damage caused after delivery
  • Misuse or abuse
  • Improper installation
  • Modification or tampering
  • Use with an incompatible printer
  • Damage caused by the printer or another component
  • Failure to follow applicable product instructions
  • Other conditions unrelated to a defect in the supplied product

Returned products may be inspected before a warranty remedy is approved.

Warranty Remedies

When a qualifying defect is confirmed, Canada Toner may provide an appropriate remedy such as:

  • Replacement
  • Refund
  • Credit
  • Another reasonable warranty solution

The appropriate remedy depends on the circumstances of the claim, product availability, and applicable consumer-protection requirements.

A warranty claim does not automatically guarantee a refund or replacement until the issue has been reviewed.

2. Warranty Returns

Do not return a product without first contacting Canada Toner.

Where a physical return is required, Canada Toner will provide return instructions and, when applicable, a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.

Products returned without authorization may be delayed or refused.

For a qualifying defective product covered by warranty, Canada Toner may provide prepaid return arrangements or otherwise cover applicable return/replacement shipping where approved as part of the warranty claim.

This does not mean that all returns receive free return shipping.

Non-defective products, products ordered by mistake, or other voluntary returns remain subject to Canada Toner's separate Return Policy, including any applicable shipping or restocking charges.

3. Urgent Replacement Requests

A customer who requires an immediate replacement before the original product has been returned and inspected may, where available, purchase a replacement product separately.

If the original product is later returned and approved as a qualifying warranty claim, Canada Toner may issue the applicable refund or credit according to the approved warranty resolution.

This option does not constitute advance approval of the warranty claim.

4. Original Repack Products

Certain Canada Toner products may be identified as Original Repack, remanufactured, rebuilt, or otherwise specially prepared products.

The warranty period and conditions applicable to an Original Repack product will be those stated on the applicable product page or otherwise communicated by Canada Toner.

Unless a longer warranty is specifically stated for the product, the standard 180-day / 6-month warranty applies.

Certain products, including some maintenance kits, fusers, or other specialized components, may have different warranty conditions because of their nature, testing requirements, installation, or expected service life.

Please review the applicable product information or contact Canada Toner if you are unsure which warranty applies.

5. Original OEM Products

Products identified as Original OEM are manufactured by the original equipment manufacturer.

Warranty coverage for an OEM product may be provided directly by the manufacturer and may be subject to the manufacturer's warranty procedures and conditions.

Canada Toner will assist customers with reasonable information regarding an OEM warranty request where possible, but the final warranty determination for an OEM-manufacturer warranty may be made by the original manufacturer.

OEM Products Ordered in Error

Opened original OEM products ordered incorrectly may not be eligible for return because the product can no longer be sold as new.

Please verify the exact manufacturer part number and printer compatibility before opening OEM packaging.

Any return remains subject to Canada Toner's Return Policy and applicable law.

6. Fusers, Maintenance Kits and Specialized Parts

Fusers, maintenance kits, imaging components, and other service parts can be affected by:

  • Installation
  • Printer condition
  • Existing printer faults
  • Electrical conditions
  • Usage history
  • Technician handling
  • Other components in the printer

Warranty claims for these products may therefore require additional troubleshooting or supporting information.

Products damaged through incorrect installation or an unrelated printer fault are not considered defective merely because the product did not correct the printer problem.

7. Warranty Exclusions

To the extent permitted by applicable law, warranty coverage does not apply to problems caused by:

  • Misuse or abuse
  • Accidental or physical damage
  • Improper storage
  • Unauthorized alteration or repair
  • Incorrect installation
  • Incompatible equipment
  • Electrical problems
  • Damage caused by another printer component
  • Failure to follow instructions
  • Normal wear where applicable
  • Circumstances unrelated to a defect in the supplied product

Nothing in this warranty is intended to remove or reduce rights that a customer may have under applicable consumer-protection law.

8. Non-Defective Returns

Warranty coverage is different from a voluntary return.

If a product is not defective but you wish to return it because it is no longer needed, was ordered incorrectly, or for another non-warranty reason, the request is governed by Canada Toner's Return Policy.

Applicable return-shipping charges, restocking fees, product-condition requirements, and eligibility periods may apply.

Please contact us before returning any product.
